In the early hours of June 15, Russia launched a massive air strike on Ukraine, firing 70 missiles and 611 drones targeting Kyiv and Kharkiv. The Dormition Cathedral of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, a UNESCO World Heritage site founded in the 11th century, was hit by two Russian drones and caught fire, suffering significant damage to its roof and interior.
